The One Day Gorilla trekking Safari to Mgahinga National Park is one of the budget Gorilla treks we offer. The package is among the Gorilla trek in Uganda from Rwanda in Kigali for people with little time and at the same time needing to spend less. It involves a shorter drive from Rwanda to Uganda and then back to Rwanda in the evening. It gives you room and relaxation or take up your flight later in the day. The One Day takes you specifically to Mgahinga National Park home to the endangered Mountain Gorillas. The driver guide will meet you at your overnight accommodation very early in the morning after breakfast and then drive to Musanze, then to Kisoro in Uganda through the Cyanika border. The border is always open at 7: am, and the border crossing takes close to 30 minutes. You will proceed for a 30-minute drive to the briefing point at 8:00 am.
Pick up early morning for your adventure at 4:30am drive to the park headquarters for briefing, and then the ranger guides will allocate you to the Gorilla family. Trekking time will depend on where the Gorillas spend the previous night, however, the trackers go first to locate the nests previously used by the Gorillas and then they will follow their tracks in communication with your ranger guide. Time taken while with the Gorillas is one hour watching them feeding and playing. You will take videos and photos while observing the you had been briefed like, staying silent, keeping distance and avoid camera flash lights.
After the adventure you will return back to the pickup point where your driver guide will be waiting from to take a drive back to Kigali.
